My Work

Real projects.
Real results.

From website builds and AI integrations to brand refreshes and custom apps — here's how I help Calgary small businesses look better, run smoother, and grow faster.

Website Build01

Booking-Focused Salon Website

Before

An outdated, 5-year-old site that was slow, hard to navigate on mobile, had no online booking, and no clear call-to-action. Clients were dropping off before they ever made contact.

After

A modern, mobile-first website built entirely around the booking flow — with integrated appointment scheduling, a clean service menu, and conversion-focused copy throughout every page.

Impact

More qualified booking inquiries within the first 30 days of launch. The owner stopped losing clients to competitors with better-looking sites.

AI Integration02

AI Receptionist for a Local Service Business

Before

After-hours calls going straight to a basic voicemail. Leads were slipping away, and the owner was spending every morning returning calls instead of doing billable work.

After

An AI phone receptionist that handles all incoming calls 24/7 — answers common questions, qualifies leads, books appointments, and sends an instant follow-up text to every caller.

Impact

8+ hours per week saved. Zero missed leads after hours. The owner starts each day with appointments already in the calendar.

Custom App Build03

Employee Operations App for a Service Business

Before

Staff coordination happening across three different apps, a group chat, and a shared spreadsheet — causing errors, missed updates, double-bookings, and daily friction.

After

A single custom internal app for scheduling, client notes, task assignments, and team communication — built specifically for how the team actually works.

Impact

Coordination errors dropped significantly. Saved approximately 5 hours per week in back-and-forth admin time across the team.

Brand Refresh04

Complete Visual Identity Cleanup — Beauty Business

Before

Inconsistent fonts, three different logo versions in use, clashing colours across Instagram, signage, and printed materials. The brand looked amateurish despite the quality of the actual work.

After

A cohesive, polished brand identity across every touchpoint — one logo, a clear colour palette, consistent typography, and a simple brand guide to keep everything on track going forward.

Impact

The client said for the first time they felt genuinely proud to hand out business cards and share their social media with potential clients.

Social Integration05

Automated Social Media System for a Local Business

Before

Manual posting across Instagram and Facebook with no content calendar, inconsistent presence, and 4+ hours spent each week on content that still wasn't driving engagement.

After

A fully integrated social media system with automated scheduling, reusable content templates, and a posting calendar — managed in about 30 minutes per week.

Impact

4+ hours per week saved. Consistent, professional posting schedule maintained without the overwhelm or decision fatigue.

Digital Overhaul06

Complete Digital Systems Transformation

Before

Google Business Profile outdated, website not mobile-friendly, email disorganized with no system, and no online booking — the entire digital presence was actively working against the business.

After

Full digital transformation: Google Business Profile optimized, new mobile site launched, email organized with smart automation, and an online booking system that handles scheduling without the owner's involvement.

Impact

The client said it was the first time they felt like a professional business online. Inquiries increased in the first 60 days.

Runway Hair Design is a family-run hair salon with two Alberta locations — Strathmore and Calgary. Their last brand update was over 10 years ago, and it showed. I delivered a full brand refresh: new logos, a modern Squarespace website, Phorest booking software integration, individual team profile pages, custom salon info sections, and a complete backend system overhaul — all built to feel as premium and polished as the work their stylists deliver every day.

Modernized Backend Systems

Updated Brand Voice & Ongoing Support

01

Brand Logos

Before

Old Runway Hair Design logo — chrome RUNWAY wordmark with horse graphic on black

Dark chrome wordmark with a horse/wing graphic — unchanged for over a decade. Heavy and generic, with nothing that communicated the modern, premium experience clients actually receive inside the salon.

After

New Runway Hair Design logo — scissors R mark with wordmark

A full logo suite: an elegant scissors “R” icon paired with the Runway Hair Design wordmark in stacked, horizontal, and circular layouts. Deep purple and gold — instantly premium, instantly recognizable.

02

Main Landing Page

Before

Old Runway Hair Design website homepage — dark layout, salon interior photo

Heavy dark layout with the old logo over a salon interior photo. No clear booking call-to-action, hard to navigate on mobile, and nothing that communicated the premium experience clients actually receive.

After

New Runway Hair Design homepage — purple gradient with scissors, Hair That Actually Feels Like You, Book Now

A dramatic transformation — clean purple gradient, spinning scissors background, bold “Hair That Actually Feels Like You.” headline, prominent Book Now button, and a 10% first-visit promo banner. Communicates confidence and quality from the first second.

03

Meet the Team

Before

Old Runway team page — dark layout with flat photos and basic name listings

A single dark page with small photos and basic name listings. No bios, no specialties — and no way for a potential client to connect with or choose a specific stylist before booking.

After

New Runway team page — circular photos with purple Explore Style buttons per stylist

Individual stylist profile pages across both locations — circular photos, personal bios, specialty descriptions, and “Explore [Name]'s Style” click-through buttons linking to each stylist's own portfolio. Clients can research before they ever book.

04

About & Services

Before

Old Runway services page — dark layout with plain table of services

A dense wall of text and a plain service table on a dark background. Overwhelming, forgettable, and completely underselling the expertise and personality behind the salon.

After

New Runway site — Tanning in Strathmore section, purple gradient with Explore Tanning CTA

Services distributed throughout the site in styled, branded sections — Dimensional Colour, Precision Cutting, Signature Blonde Work, Texture & Curl Care. Plus a dedicated Tanning page for Strathmore, a family story section, and interactive dropdowns for hours and contact info.

05

Booking System

Before

Old Runway contact page — broken map embed and plain text contact info

A broken map embed and plain contact info. No way to book online — clients had to call or send a message just to check availability. Friction at every step of the process.

After

New Runway booking — Phorest software open with full service listNew Runway contact info — Hours, Address, Contact dropdowns with branded card

Full Phorest booking software integration — clients book Colour with Finish, Consultations, Extensions, Hair Styling, Texture & Perm Treatments, and more online, anytime. Custom accordion dropdowns for Hours, Address, and Contact. Persistent Book Now button throughout the entire site.

06

Meet the Owners

New Section— This didn't exist before. Created from scratch to introduce the heart of the business.
